Well, it's all Hallow's eve and it's been rather quiet.  It helps that I also live in an apartment building with a locked gate to keep the ghoulies out. It's a quiet evening and I had my share of 'dressing up' this morning from a short, but fun ALC training ride.

It is now just two weeks away-  I'll be off and flying up to SFO after work; me, my one bag of cycling gear, and the sleeping bag.... Saturday morning, 4:30am.  Sean and I wake up and get prepped for a trip down to Irvine Amtrak station for the start of the 2nd Team OC training ride from Irvine to Solana Beach.  We managed a great start by taking off from Irvine at 6:15am with a small group of riders.  This is the first time we were early for this ride as usually we get out there ( Read more... )

Well, considering that I had pulled a leg muscle last week while rollerblading, I managed a fun (yet exhausting) 60 mile bike ride this past Saturday... alone.

I took the San Gabriel River trail out and was only planning on doing 40 to 50 miles max.  I got myself to what I thought was the end of the trail and noticed other cyclists crossing a bridge ( Read more... )

YAY, now that the rains have finally left S. Cal alone on the weekends I was able to enjoy one of my favorite rides around for training, the Irvine to Solana Beach ride with Team OC!
